Beta Reading
A beta read is an affordable manuscript review in which the editor provides basic feedback and a brief developmental edit with comments on plot, characters, and conflicts.

Also known as content editing or substantive editing, this is where the editor works with the author to strengthen a story’s plot, character, conflict, and more.
While substantive editing reworks chapters, the arc of the story, and characters, stylistic editing works on the paragraph level to smooth sentences and help your words shine.
Whereas stylistic editing ensures that writing flows smoothly from one sentence to another, copyediting looks at each sentence individually to correct spelling and grammar.
